Workstorm, a secure collaboration platform for the legal industry, is excited to announce the launch of its new Matter Folders feature, designed to streamline and improve matter management processes.
Built in collaboration with top AmLaw firms, Workstorm’s Matter Folders are managed channels that create a privacy layer between a firm’s information governance administrators and the protected communication between lawyers and their clients. Role-based access allows administrators to quickly generate channel templates with custom retention and compliance policies while staying separated from the matter details.
“Law firms need and want a verticalized solution designed to meet all their specific use cases – and they want one central place to do it,” said Nick Stech, COO and co–founder. “Matter Folders will enhance workflow from the CIO, attorney, and client perspectives and enhance the matter management experience.”
The Matter Folders dashboard simplifies matter visibility for legal teams and centralizes messaging, document management, and video conferencing. Clients, witnesses, and other external parties are invited to the private-by-default channels where they also have access to message with their legal team, review documents, and join virtual depositions and case updates.
Chief Strategy Officer Katie Barr added, “Workstorm was built on the premise of secure, private collaboration. Adding a matter management component centralizes workflow and creates a tailored solution that aligns to information governance policies, protects privacy, and improves client satisfaction.”
Workstorm will showcase Matter Folders at the International Legal Technology Association Conference (ILTACon) in Nashville, TN. This year, ILTACon is August 12-15 and hosted at the Gaylord Opryland; Workstorm returns as a Gold Sponsor.
