Mission and Founding Story

Workstorm was established in Chicago by founders with deep expertise, having previously operated within the trading and fintech sectors.

One founder previously owned Chopper Trading, which was recognized as a major market participant that executed trillions of dollars in securities annually. The other founder contributed expertise as a quantitative researcher at Citadel Investment Group and served as a product manager at Automated Trading Desk focused on AI and automation innovation.

Together, their diverse skill sets and industry insights fueled the development of Workstorm, a collaboration platform designed to meet the intricate demands of organizations operating within regulated industries.

Faced with inadequate collaboration and communication tools that fell short of the stringent requirements of the trading industry, the team embarked on the development of a tailored collaboration platform.

The platform was designed to operate seamlessly within the high-pressure, fast-paced, and highly regulated global trading environment, where precision is critical. Real-time communication was essential, integrating signals and messages from both market sources and automated trading systems. To mitigate risks associated with noise and distractions, messages required prioritization and filtering to prevent costly errors.

Additionally, the platform needed to facilitate the assembly of expert teams to address emerging challenges, irrespective of their physical locations or organizational structures. Information sharing was to be governed on a need-to-know basis to safeguard highly confidential proprietary data, trade secrets, intellectual property, and client privacy. Compliance with record-keeping regulations established by governmental and regulatory bodies was also a critical consideration. Furthermore, all communications and activities were mandated to occur within a secure environment, impervious to malicious hacking attempts.

The platform was developed to address the rigorous needs of organizations that manage sensitive information and operate within regulated industries. Workstorm has engaged with governmental bodies, financial institutions, legal practices, consulting firms, and healthcare organizations that align with our commitment to safeguarding confidential information in highly collaborative environments.

As an integrative collaboration platform founded on principles of privacy and security, Workstorm continuously innovates technologies designed to support the most demanding institutions as they navigate increasing automation, integrate AI, and manage uncertainty in their operational landscapes.
