A Look Ahead to ILTACon 2025 and Beyond

In just a couple of weeks, Workstorm returns to ILTACon and our team is looking forward to reconnecting with colleagues, partners, and clients alike.

Our presence at ILTACon represents much more than a product showcase. It reflects our commitment to listening and learning from the legal community, our customers, and our partners. Legal technology is not static; it must continually adapt with agility and purpose while balancing the challenges law firms face.

Coming from the financial industry, I have always understood the critical importance of secure, compliant communication and collaboration. In highly regulated environments, there is simply no room for compromise when it comes to confidentiality and operational control. This understanding shaped the founding mission of Workstorm: a secure collaboration platform designed to improve workflow while keeping privileged and confidential information private.

That mission remains at the heart of everything we do. We continue to see the legal industry face increasing challenges related to client-driven alternative fee agreements, risk and resource management, and budget controls. In response, Workstorm has expanded its capabilities to go beyond secure collaboration and lead the way, creating workflow automation software tailored to the unique needs of legal professionals, operations teams, and firm leadership.

This focus is still rooted in our core values of trust, security, and reliability. Workstorm helps firms drive operational efficiency by automating workflow and providing real-time visibility into budgets, deadlines, and risks. The platform reflects the realities of today’s law firms, where efficiency demands both clarity and control.

We also recognize the growing impact of emerging technologies and the use of agentic AI. The post-ILTA report from 2024 indicated that many firms were still in the process of evaluating AI ethics and usage policies. Over the last year, we’ve seen more and more firms assemble internal AI teams to determine how to best leverage AI securely and to maximize efficiency. Rather than seeing AI as a replacement for expertise, Workstorm embraces it as a multiplier of a legal team’s capabilities. Leveraging a law firm’s agentic AI within Workstorm can improve workflow by automating routine processes, predicting potential risks, and surfacing insights that help teams to act decisively and strategically. Our integrations with agentic AI enable firms to extract more value from existing processes while leveraging meaningful manual workflows.
