Kevin M. O’Keefe

Advisory Board

Kevin M. O’Keefe is a member of Workstorm’s Advisory Board. He is a retired partner at O’Keefe, Lyons & Hynes LLC, where in his fifty years with the firm he focused on building the firm’s property tax practice across multiple jurisdictions.

From 1993 until 1997, O’Keefe served on the White House Staff of President Bill Clinton. As Special Assistant to the President for Presidential Personnel, he was responsible for nominating and confirming U.S. Attorneys and Marshals. Later, while in the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, he was a liaison between the federal government and state and local officials on issues that included the 1994 Crime Bill, Empowerment and Enterprise Zones, and Welfare Reform.

Throughout his career, O’Keefe has held prominent positions: President Bill Clinton appointed him to the board of the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae); he has also served on the boards of Central DuPage Hospital (now part of Northwestern Medicine), Healthcorp Affiliates, and the Western Golf Association.

O’Keefe received his JD, cum laude, from the Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology (now Illinois Tech), and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois. Outside of his professional commitments, O’Keefe has remained involved in community and political affairs.
